$10 Million Campaign Already Driving Thousands of Calls to Lawmakers as First Ad Launches Today
Build American AI (BAAI) today announced the launch of a nationwide omnichannel media campaign urging Congress to adopt a comprehensive national framework for artificial intelligence. The campaign, initially funded with $10 million, will mobilize Americans across the country and demonstrate the strong support for Congress to pass clear and consistent national standards to ensure AI grows the economy, creates jobs for American workers, protects families and communities, and ensures the United States wins the global race for AI leadership.
As part of the campaign, thousands of calls have already been made to members of Congress in both Washington and district offices on pace to reach more than 10,000 calls today.
“There is broad public demand for congressional action and a uniform national approach to AI,” said Nathan Leamer, Executive Director of Build American AI. “We are excited to have created this platform for Americans excited about the future of AI, to engage their members of Congress and make a difference,” continued Leamer.
The omnichannel effort includes digital, social and television advertising, with the first ad released today.
